New 2026 Fort McCoy Hunting, Fishing, and Trapping Regulations & Maps Now Available
The Fort McCoy Natural Resources Branch announces that the new 2026 Fort McCoy Hunting, Fishing, and Trapping Rules and Regulations (Fort McCoy Regulation 420-29) and updated regulatory maps are officially available for outdoor recreationists.
Whether you plan to scout, hunt, fish, or trap on installation lands during the upcoming seasons, all permit holders and visitors are required to review and adhere to the updated guidelines set forth in FMR 420-29.
1. Digital Access (Available Now)
Electronic copies of the complete FMR 420-29 regulation document and high-resolution maps are accessible immediately:
- Visit the Fort McCoy iSportsman portal.
- Navigate to the Recreational Regulations / Maps tab on the main menu.
- Digital copies can be viewed online or downloaded directly to mobile devices for convenient field reference.
2. Physical Printed Copies (Available Next Week)
Fort McCoy Natural Resources personnel are actively printing and distributing physical copies of the new regulation booklets and maps. Printed materials will be delivered and stocked within the next week at the following official distribution locations:
- Hunter Information Point (HIP): Located along Highway 21, accessible 24/7
- Permit Sales Office (Bldg. 2168): Available during normal customer service operational hours M-F 700-330. Closed weekends & holidays.
- Pine View Campground Office (Bldg. 8053): Available during standard office and registration hours.

- Cantonment Archery Permits: Permits for the Cantonment Archery season have all been issued. No left-over permits available.
- Archery Bonus Antlerless Permits: All Regular Archery Bonus Antlerless permits have been issued. No left-over archery bonus antlerless permits available.
FORT MCCOY TRAINING AREA EMERGENCY PHONE REMOVAL
Please be advised that all Emergency Phones located throughout Fort McCoy training areas have been removed. All recreational users operating within cantonment and training areas are strongly advised to carry a reliable, charged cell phone or mobile communications device while on the installation.
EMERGENCY & DISPATCH CONTACTS: In the event of an emergency or incident, utilize the following points of contact immediately:
- Emergency Dial 911 Inform the dispatcher immediately that you are located on Fort McCoy and provide your specific training area/grid.
