ALERTS

ATTENTION FORT MCCOY RECREATIONIST:

As our community manages the federal government shutdown, Fort McCoy will continue offering hunting, fishing, and other recreational activities at Fort McCoy with the following exception:

  1. No new firearms weapons registrations will be accepted at this time. The Visitor Center's operating hours have been reduced, and the personnel do not have the capacity to process new applications for firearm registration.
  2. Hunters who are already registered to use their firearms at Fort McCoy may continue to do so. (Firearms must have been previously registered in order to participate in hunting activities and individuals must carry a copy of their firearm registration record in their possession while on Fort McCoy.)

Thank you for your understanding.
